Personal Manifesto

Personal Manifesto

Developing my personal brand has been one of the most meaningful projects of my design journey. I started by writing a manifesto that captured my values, creative purpose, and the impact I strive to make through design. To bring this vision to life, I designed and illustrated a book that houses the manifesto. I created a rich fantasy world within its pages, complete with original creatures, a detailed map, and symbolic storytelling, each element reflecting my personality, design philosophy, and aspirations. This project helped me solidify my creative identity but also gave me a lasting way to express how I aim to inspire change through imagination and design.

Self-branding Stickers

Picture of a Dragons Eye

To expand my personal brand, I designed a series of custom stickers based on the creatures and concepts from my manifesto. I crafted each sticker to represent a core value or idea from my fantasy world, turning abstract principles into tangible, collectible visuals. These stickers strengthened my brand identity while serving as playful, shareable pieces that invite others into the creative universe I’ve built. I designed the collection to be versatile, suitable for laptops, sketchbooks, or packaging, so my brand could extend beyond the manifesto and connect with others in a visually engaging way.

To bring my personal brand and manifesto to life even further, I created an animated video based on the book I had designed. I animated the creatures from my fantasy world to leap from the book’s pages, symbolizing the power of imagination, ideas, and storytelling. This visual metaphor shows how my design philosophy moves beyond the page and into the world, sparking creativity and change. By combining motion, sound, and illustration, I transformed the manifesto into an immersive experience that reinforces the core message of my brand: design as a force for wonder, growth, and transformation.

Self-branding Magic Kitchen Social Media Banner

I created the Magic Kitchen artwork as a visual extension of my personal brand, specifically designed for use on social media banners. I combined imaginative, whimsical elements with my signature illustrative style to capture the creativity and storytelling that define my brand. I used the “kitchen” as a symbol of the space where I cook up ideas, where design, fantasy, and intention come together. By sharing this artwork across my digital platforms, I built a cohesive and memorable brand presence and invited others into the imaginative world I’ve created through my manifesto and visual identity.

Animated Stoney Video

I created an illustrated and animated brand design video for Stoney Ginger Beer to capture the brand’s bold and refreshing personality. I started by developing a vibrant visual style with hand-drawn illustrations that reflected the product’s fiery kick and strong South African heritage. I brought these elements to life through dynamic animation, using playful transitions and energetic pacing to match the brand’s tone. The final video became a fun and engaging piece of content for digital platforms, helping boost brand awareness and connect with a younger, visually-driven audience.

I redesigned a series of Shadowhunters book covers to create a more minimalist and modern aesthetic. I moved away from the original detailed and complex visuals, choosing instead to simplify the design while capturing the core themes and mood of the series. I used clean typography, limited color palettes, and subtle symbolic imagery to represent key elements from each book. The final result is a cohesive set of covers that feel contemporary and visually striking, offering a fresh take on the Shadowhunters universe while preserving its essence.

Zam-Buk Mural Design

I created a series of illustrations for Zam-Buk as part of a mural campaign that celebrated and supported women. I aimed to visually represent strength, healing, and resilience, qualities that align with both the brand and the women it honored. To capture this, I developed bold, empowering imagery using natural elements and dynamic compositions that reflect the nurturing yet powerful essence of femininity. I designed the illustrations for adaptation into large-scale murals, bringing the message to life in public spaces and creating a powerful visual statement that connects community, brand, and purpose.

Dragon Type Infographic

I created an infographic that categorizes and explains the different types of dragons to clarify common misconceptions often seen in media representations. I illustrated each dragon type in detail and paired the visuals with concise, engaging descriptions that highlight their key features, origins, and cultural backgrounds, from Western fire-breathers to Eastern serpentine guardians. I combined visual storytelling with educational content, designing a clear layout and stylized graphics to make the information both accessible and visually appealing. This project let me merge my passion for mythology with design, resulting in a piece that informs while capturing the imagination.

Comic Con Africa Shirt Design

Comic Con Shirt

As part of a competition for Comic Con Africa, I designed both a logo and a shirt to represent the event. I aimed to create a bold and memorable identity that captured the excitement and diverse culture of the convention. I explored dynamic typography and graphic elements inspired by comic book aesthetics and African motifs to develop a unique visual language. For the shirt design, I focused on creating an eye-catching graphic that fans would proudly wear, combining vibrant colors and striking composition. This project let me blend cultural storytelling with pop culture design in a competitive creative environment.

I designed a graphic design magazine cover along with a double-page spread, aiming to create a visually striking and cohesive layout that showcased creative concept development. I balanced typography, imagery, and white space to guide the reader’s eye and maintain readability while emphasizing the main theme. I crafted the cover to grab attention on a shelf, and I structured the spread to present an engaging visual narrative that reflects current trends in design and layout. The final result demonstrates my ability to combine aesthetic appeal with functional editorial design.

Freelancing Projects

Fine Home Competition

I created a Knight for a competition hosted by Fine Home. After researching the brand’s identity and values, I chose a knight to visually represent the company, symbolizing protection, elegance, and timeless strength, qualities that align with Fine Home’s offering. I designed the character and supporting visuals to blend traditional symbolism with a modern aesthetic, ensuring the concept felt both bold and refined. This project helped me translate abstract brand values into a distinctive and memorable visual identity.

SABOD Merchandise

I designed SABOD merchandise for a competition, focusing on creating items that aligned with the brand’s identity and appealed to its audience. I explored bold visuals, custom typography, and wearable graphics that reflected SABOD’s energy and culture. I created a cohesive range of merchandise and ensured each piece felt modern, functional, and visually impactful. This project allowed me to apply branding principles to real-world products while experimenting with style and audience engagement.
